Violet Flower Art Print | Illustration


Happy New Year!

Something to fresh it up for the start of the new year. I had this violet flower art print printed in November last year, I did it for the paper test to see the quality. I have a couple of them and thought I'll use one for my bedroom, as I have an A2 frame size that does fit with this art print.

The first artwork was the original art of British robin in mixed media, which are soft pastel and black ink, that I've framed it for 6 years.

I illustrated this when I was in university, over the years my art style has changed from that time. I wanted to change it, but couldn't think of what artwork of my own to use. Since I have some art prints and intended to use one.




Yep, I've included my signature!

I wasn't so sure at first because of the black background fitting along with my bedroom and having a flower even my bedroom decoration theme is mostly birds.

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. It was Spring, the Spy hummingbird flying around millions of butterflies resting on the oyamel fir trees (I just looked it up of what kind of tree because I can't remember what it was, hehe). Bloom Wildly | Illustration

It's nearly the end of May, the weather for the last week of the month has been sun shining and over 22c of temperature, such lovely weather. So yesterday, I have been painting the dog rose flowers, that just blossomed nearly 2 weeks ago! Right now they're blooming quite wildly in my home garden and the front! This bush even grows over the tree, makes it so enchanting it's like in a magical summer garden. And with the wall, this can hang further that I can go underneath it for some shade. This one is new from the front as it hasn't grown there before, so it's the first time seeing this. And it's already climbing up the birch tree! It looks nice to look at through the window, where I work on some arts, plus good for some inspirations to illustrate! Whilst I was painting, I did another timelapse video on this. Motion frame, Horse and Rabbit (my foster rabbit, Dust). Colour felt tip pens. - I worked on this for Life Drawing independent project in university (first year), I chose to work on animal motions, I like drawing animals and am interesting their movements.
