For the first research project, the ‘editorial market’, I picked the genre of Illustrations for Women’s magazines, as I thought that there would be much kind of illustrations to find. I collected 12 women’s magazines; nine were available from supermarkets, and other three were online magazines or articles as they called it on the websites. Mostly they are the consumer magazines, where I founded in supermarkets and newsagents. The magazines I have picked were Company, Glamour, More, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Red, ASOS, Elle, Look, Stylist and Emerald Street. Having looked through the magazines, I found many illustrations in few magazines, others that I found were only some advertisements that I thought that doesn’t count but also thought it was an illustration so should be included. There is one magazine that has more illustrations than others, which is Company. Inside the Company magazine (issue, July 2013), there are 4 illustrations, along with the acknowledgements...

I was just experimenting on GIF, as i'm somewhat interesting in fashion illustration, thinking what it'll be like with the moving image illustration. On the left is still image of my illustration and on the right the GIF. 5th November, Firework Night. First try on stop motion (or the 'fastburst' i had as the app on my mobile) photography with illustration in it. (The photography one is the best i say….) Got more firework stop motion photographs, so going to try them with my illustrations.  Same as above, a s econd try of stop motion photography GIFs.

After finished my first year in university and 3 months summer break before going back to university. Here are some drawings i have done in my spare time. Drew it by mouse and not quite pleased with it. Going to try on graphic tablet soon. Drawn on photoshop CS3. Done by graphic tablet and have to say it is better. The whole face outline was done in hand-drawing and scanned it. So i’m pleased with this! Painted last year (acrylics), inspired by  A udrey  K awasaki . On brown/beige cardboard. I'm not sure what i think of this. Original hand draw. Colour blocks.— Hand drawn of fine line pen, colours in photoshop— Photoshop filter tools experiment. This is I at the bus station in Northampton. It's November this month, i'll be having my christmas break soon. So far it was good. I've had my fresher week, am in first first semester, experiencing of not having half-term, felt strange after i had it in school and college, and writing second essay at the moment. I'm studying BA (Hons) Illustration in University of Northampton, this is a 3-years course. I loves drawings, painting, i'm hoping this is useful and helping me getting the ideas of illustration and gaining the skills of illustration, and hoping i get the illustration career, i'm interesting in fashion illustration, so i am hoping to be a fashion illustrator. Now i've got the essay to finish, i will write about what i've been doing in first semester in the next blog.

Now that i'm finished graphic design from college, going to university in October, i have fresher week on the last week of September. So here what i've been doing. Back in June, i received the saddest news, my grandma had a cancer, again, it was found in her spine and spread across her body, there's nothing they can do to stop it. On that day in June, she lost it and passed away. I was absolutely devastated, i grew up with her in my life and she's gone is something that i will be trying to get used to feel and think that she's not here. I'm learning to drive and she want to be here when i pass the driving test, i'm going to university and she want to be here to comfort me when university work stress me out, i'm single and she want to be here talking about the boyfriend i'll be dating and i will graduate in 2015 and she want to be here being so proud. I'll have to accept that it's life, these thing always happen...
