A Bouquet of Winter Flowers | Illustration

Image
Happy Friday! It's the last day of this month AND this season. More closing to the Spring, as well as my birthday in March.  This illustration is about some winter flowers, which links to this illustration of Winter Flowers , used these three same flowers and new addition. This becomes a Bouquet of Winter Flowers, as well as having a cute little bird with it, a blue tit. I thought of giving the ribbon a dark blue that indicates the colour of winter. Although it looks much nicer along with these flowers' colours. Hope you're enjoying looking through these last few photos of my artwork in the sun, as I'm enjoying absorbing the sun heat and the light from the inside! 😆 Thanks for reading this blog and have a lovely day! 💜

Peacock Orchid | Illustration

Image
The first painting in 2021! I have got a theme in mind, which fit in this season, winter. When I remember this flower I took 2019 from my mum's garden, inspired me for the theme collection with other flowers, called it Winter Flowers. To what I've realised, this flower isn't considered to be a winter flower, they only bloom in late summer and last until autumn. Now, that was before I search it to find the name of this flower, I thought it's called winter lily as this looks like a lily to me and bloomed in cold season as I thought it was. This flower is actually called Peacock Orchid, or Acidanthera in another name. Perhaps it's the colours that twisted my mind into thinking it's a winter flower. Don't you think? 😜 So I went along and paint this flower, also I include a video of this painting in time-lapse. It is a very interesting detail of the marks on the petal, a purple-red colour as I worked out the paint mixed to match, with spray-like on the edge of t...

Violet Flower Art Print | Illustration

Image
Happy New Year! Something to fresh it up for the start of the new year. I had this violet flower art print printed in November last year, I did it for the paper test to see the quality. I have a couple of them and thought I'll use one for my bedroom, as I have an A2 frame size that does fit with this art print. The first artwork was the original art of British robin in mixed media, which are soft pastel and black ink, that I've framed it for 6 years. Here's the first artwork; I illustrated this when I was in university, over the years my art style has changed from that time. I wanted to change it, but couldn't think of what artwork of my own to use. Since I have some art prints and intended to use one. Yep, I've included my signature! I wasn't so sure at first because of the black background fitting along with my bedroom and having a flower even my bedroom decoration theme is mostly birds.  What do you think? Comment below as I like to know what's your thoug...

That Special Pansy | Illustration

Image
So, I spent my Sunday last week painting that special pansy, that's from my home garden, bright orange with broken purple. As I call this That Special Pansy, so special is because it's so rare to see this particular pansy with broken colour. The purple supposedly filled the whole petals, from the back, and this somehow just like that. Here's the genuine pansy from my home garden, back in this summer. Here's also the full orange pansy close by. Lastly, here's a full video in time-lapse. Mesmerising as usual to watch the process in this speed. Hehe. Thanks for taking the time to watch and read, and have a lovely Sunday! 😁

Family House Plaque | Illustration

Image
"Welcome to me house." This is my family humour and creativity with anything that turns into something funny. My family have that old personalised house plaque from the previous resident, we moved into the house 16 years ago and they have left the plaque.  My parents didn't bother to take it off until my sister wants to do something with it, as it was a sad-looking and washed out. She brought it to me and asked me to bring it to life.  You can see the faded white print on it, seeing it that it was a digital print work, I can't remember what it looked like as it was 16 years ago, I was 11, even though I remember there were some bit of colours before washed away by 16 years of all weather conditions. But, still, I can't remember. As you can see the name of the previous resident, the Cameron. I went through some thought of what to do with the name, the plaque is made of either metal or clay as it's really heavy, can't be sure which. To think of removing the n...
