Family House Plaque | Illustration
"Welcome to me house."
This is my family humour and creativity with anything that turns into something funny.
My family have that old personalised house plaque from the previous resident, we moved into the house 16 years ago and they have left the plaque.
My parents didn't bother to take it off until my sister wants to do something with it, as it was a sad-looking and washed out. She brought it to me and asked me to bring it to life.
You can see the faded white print on it, seeing it that it was a digital print work, I can't remember what it looked like as it was 16 years ago, I was 11, even though I remember there were some bit of colours before washed away by 16 years of all weather conditions. But, still, I can't remember.
As you can see the name of the previous resident, the Cameron. I went through some thought of what to do with the name, the plaque is made of either metal or clay as it's really heavy, can't be sure which. To think of removing the name I thought to file it down but it'll be a lot of hassle as I said, it's made of metal/clay. My mum came up with the idea when she saw the name, she spotted a word in the name and looked at it all together, Me House. We all laughed, yes, we have quite bizarre humour.
So I gave my sister a simple job to work on the plaque was to paint these letters over in black.
Then I worked on the rest, by starting painting white over these old print template. Then painting with colours.
I decided to go for blue tit, I thought it looks nicer and vibrant.
And with the bee, I went for the bumblebee. I like the details of bumblebee's fluffy coat.
Once I finished painting, I signed my name and put it on the original place, on the wall between the door and the window outside.
Now that you can see the bold of the detail show and how vibrant the colours in distance.
I hope this plaque will brighten people up with a smile when they see this.
Have a lovely day! 😊🌞
