Helloooo! What I’ve done this month? Well, I have been painting a card for the long-standing loveable couple, who celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. Guess what, this couple is my aunt and uncle! I remembered their summery June wedding in 2003, and I was their bridesmaid. I was 10, I remembered the colour of the dress I wore, the bridesmaid bouquets, my aunt’s tropical bouquet and her creamy satin dress, the lovely weather on their special day! A Majestic Swan for Platinum Jubilee | Illustration

Image
It’s Platinum Jubilee! To celebrate it I did a painting, with lots of meaning! Firstly, a mute swan is known to be one of the most familiar birds in the UK, a Union Jack flag gives away for it, make it more British. Secondly, there are two colours in this painting. A white-silver from a swan being Platinum and a purple from the water, supposedly similar shade as Pantone 3515c. Both of these colours symbolises Platinum Jubilee. I like how glittery the silver metallic paint gives by reflecting from the light. So pretty. Here are some video showing the way its twinkling. Hope you’re having a fantastic bank holiday weekend!
