Spotted the Bullfinch at the Rare Moment | Illustration

Image
Hello peeps. Back in February, walking with Odin, the previous foster dog, and my sister to the countryside, as I was talking to my sister, behind her I spotted something red through the tall dried weeds, it was a Bullfinch! I was gaspingly amazed, quickly I whipped out the phone and captured some pictures, here are the photo references;  The fact is, Bullfinch is so rare to be seen, even though males have a very distinguish redbreast, hence that's what I noticed, even 3 metres roughly from where I stood and surrounded by the dull plants and lack of light due to the winter weather. Thereafter, I looked at these photos again, felt inspired to paint, as well as make them like an enhancement from the photos, a clearer image of what I saw at the time.   Every time I walk across the same path, I have not seen the male Bullfinch... yet. Thanks for reading and have a nice day!

The Monarch | Illustration

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. It was Spring, the Spy hummingbird flying around millions of butterflies resting on the oyamel fir trees (I just looked it up of what kind of tree because I can't remember what it was, hehe). When the sunshine on them, warmed their delicate wings, then started to fly. And when they fly, it was absolutely spectacular, all orange and flow through the trees. I imagined myself in there, underneath them and watching them as they migrate to North. I felt calm and delight thinking about it, it was awe-inspiring. Being called the Milkweed butterfly is because they feed on ...

U.K's rarest native animal, Red Squirrel | Painting

Image
Today in this blog, I'm writing about Red Squirrel, U.K's rare and native. I was inspired to paint British wildlife animal when I was thinking of what to get for my brother's girlfriend, for Christmas gift. Though I asked my brother which wildlife animal does she likes, quite a few lists but this one animal that she likes the most as well as she finds them very cute, a red squirrel. Well, originally it was a grey squirrel but they're not native here, so I thought red squirrel it is. Because my artwork always focuses on British birds and wildlife, that's my speciality. Funny to think about it, I went to the Lake District in summer 2019 with 4 of my family, where red squirrels habitat. I was hoping to spot one there, even I stayed there for a week, sadly I haven't. It's why they're rare. I planned to work on A6 size, I thought it's a better size to display in the room, as well as more tidy, than having larger than A5 so that it doesn't...
