Lavender and A Mallard Duck | Illustration

Image
On Friday, I got home from Norfolk for a very much needed holiday and I felt really relax and enjoyed it very much, it had been 2 years since I went on holiday. Can't believe I'm home after a week of holiday, it felt so quick! While I was in Norfolk and exploring there, I felt so inspired. As soon as I got home, I started to draw and paint! To explain what inspired me will be the next blog after this, as well as a holiday diary. Have a nice day and thanks for taking the time to read this! 😊

Here's an another pet portrait of my second foster rabbit. I'd like another reminder about having rabbits from Easter time. As I mentioned in this blog post: Rabbits are for life, not just for Easter , that we had one in this situation, a rabbit bought for Easter gift and later abandoned in the street. As we thought she's young, we assumed she must've

Mother Owl and her Owlets | Happy Mother's Day | Illustration

Happy Mother's Day! Today's 14th of March, celebrating all mums in the U.K., I've spoiled my mum with a fancy gift box full of goodies, they're chocolate treats and a lovely gin, by the way, and she absolutely loves them as she plans to devour them tonight! For this Mother's Day illustration I have been working on owls, I selected the barn owl as inspired by the t.v show Inside The Zoo from BBC, that I've watched with my mum, there were two barn owl brothers with amusing personalities and my mum enjoyed watching them and thought they're cute!  To start with, I sketched the mother and three owlets on black paper, for the colours I originally use coloured pencils, the Zenacolor. The coloured pencils have backfired as they don't work well on this satin texture paper, not how I wanted to look, so I've decided to use gouache paints. And they work better, although it needs to be layered. When I look at my artwork, this reminded me of the children's b
