Merry Christmas! Hello you lovely peeps, it's Christmas!  It's [weather], it would've been more Christmas if it's a white Christmas. The last time I posted a blog was easter time, about Easter! I have been very busy, to focus on things around me and haven't got some time to draw and/or paint, as I missed doing it very much.  Though I was feeling very festive that I want to do Christmas illustration!  I always have a robin and holly berries and leaves, but the material to illustrate onto is different than I normally use. Thought I could experiment on to see if that works for my Christmas illustration. I called this illustration - Red as Robin, Green as Holly, Gold as Bauble. Painting process:   These colours stated in the name are the colours I use from my Christmas tree, it's the traditional colours that feel more homely and nostalgic. Going on as long as I remember, so I never really go any Christmas colour themes, o

A Spring Flower! | Illustration

I had my birthday a week ago, on Friday 15th.  The weather was sunshiny and also windy, but that's OK! Because the temperature was so warm, that made me happy as I remember almost every birthdays was rainy, barely sunny weather.  What I did on my birthday was my family and I went to Glebe Farm's Tea Room for lunch and later went to cinema, to watch Captain Marvel. Into the evening, my sister and I played Just Dance (2015, 2017 and 2018), three games my sister gave me as a birthday gift. It was a lot of fun as well as good exercising! Anyway, at the Tea Room, what I saw in the middle of the table we use, a little green glass bottle with a real daffodil. It looked so exquisite and rare, that you wouldn't find them outside near your house, in the forest and even field. That made me take my phone out and took some pictures and inspired me to paint. Here are some photos; I water painted to this! It's a Spring flower! Whenever I

My No'1 Gal | Galentine's Day | Illustration

Image
Galentine's Day may not be an official day but got to spread your love to your favourite ladies. What I gave to my special No'1 gal, my best friend Cheryl, a cute handmade greeting card of the female blackbird and female chaffinch (that represent us by sizes, I'm tiny and my bestie is quite tall, hehe).  Card size in 10.16cm by 15.24, painted in watercolour, handwritten "Happy Galentine's Day" with V crossed by G, in red. I posted to her house on the day, she got the card after work, she loved it and her comment on this 'it's so sweet'. LOVE YOUR GALS. 💖

Kingfisher's Magnificent Wings and Vibrant Breast | Watercolour | Illustration

Here it is, just what I've said in other blog Watercolour Kingfisher , that I have another watercolour paint of kingfisher. Well, I did two! Here they are! Some beautiful shades of blue on its wings. Such a vibrant breast. I enjoyed water-painting on Kingfisher, I have actually focused on how colourful they are, which is one of Britain's most colourful birds. They're just fascinating looking, aren't they? ☺

Watercolour Kingfisher | Illustration

It's Saturday and it's sunshine here. Two weekends ago I received some new best quality watercolour kits! Pack of 4 watercolour pads, watercolour paint and a pack of fine detail/mixed media paint brushes. I bought them from Amazon, I thanks to my Auntie J, Uncle P and cousins for the Amazon gift card from Christmas. I had my first try of Kingfisher and the outcome is amazing, I didn't expected myself water painted that brilliant, compared to what I painted before with normal sketch paper and, cheap and old watercolour paint. Take a look at my first attempt of watercolour Kingfisher. Plus you can see the feather details clearly, so I'm amazed by it. I have also water painted another Kingfisher, that I will show it for the next blog! Good day. :)

Happy New Year | Illustration

Image
It's the day of new year, happy new year! With this black and white illustration is almost like a cross-over from Christmas into New Year's, a snowed tree with a shiny star on top on black as night sky. I used white pen for detail on tree trunk as well as outline the pine branches, gold metallic pen for a star and white gouache as snow. Hope you have a good New Year Day!
