Merry Christmas!

Hello you lovely peeps, it's Christmas! 
It's [weather], it would've been more Christmas if it's a white Christmas.
The last time I posted a blog was easter time, about Easter! I have been very busy, to focus on things around me and haven't got some time to draw and/or paint, as I missed doing it very much. 

Though I was feeling very festive that I want to do Christmas illustration! 
I always have a robin and holly berries and leaves, but the material to illustrate onto is different than I normally use. Thought I could experiment on to see if that works for my Christmas illustration.

I called this illustration - Red as Robin, Green as Holly, Gold as Bauble.





Painting process: 




These colours stated in the name are the colours I use from my Christmas tree, it's the traditional colours that feel more homely and nostalgic. Going on as long as I remember, so I never really go any Christmas colour themes, other than this.

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. It was Spring, the Spy hummingbird flying around millions of butterflies resting on the oyamel fir trees (I just looked it up of what kind of tree because I can't remember what it was, hehe). When the sunshine on them, warmed their delicate wings, then started to fly. And when they fly, it was absolutely spectacular, all orange and flow through the trees. Bloom Wildly | Illustration

It's nearly the end of May, the weather for the last week of the month has been sun shining and over 22c of temperature, such lovely weather. So yesterday, I have been painting the dog rose flowers, that just blossomed nearly 2 weeks ago! Right now they're blooming quite wildly in my home garden and the front! This bush even grows over the tree, makes it so enchanting it's like in a magical summer garden. And with the wall, this can hang further that I can go underneath it for some shade. This one is new from the front as it hasn't grown there before, so it's the first time seeing this. And it's already climbing up the birch tree! It looks nice to look at through the window, where I work on some arts, plus good for some inspirations to illustrate! Whilst I was painting, I did another timelapse video on this. Motion frame, Horse and Rabbit (my foster rabbit, Dust). Colour felt tip pens. - I worked on this for Life Drawing independent project in university (first year), I chose to work on animal motions, I like drawing animals and am interesting their movements.
