Laura Mallaghan Illustration

This project i did was designing logo ideas for the new ALEM logo scheme. My first ever project designing for the ALEM clients, yet not met them in person. My course-mate and i had to design not just new logos, also the stationary design, such as business card, letter heads and compliment slips.  I have sketched out some ideas for logo, here's a image of my sketch ideas. Then used one in Adobe Illustrator to experiment it, however... the M looks like the well-brand logo of McDonald, so i cannot use this design and tried the other more acceptable design. But i ended up chose this design.  This is my ALEM  design logos. I chose  the A in ribbon for  my final. And had three colours along with grey. I thought having a colour on A and grey on some texts as it's look suitably. And here's my stationary designs. I'm in first year of BTEC Second Diploma in Graphic Design (and second year being in college), i was so nervous moving to new course, which means new people and some projects. My first project in this course is Persona, it's basically about myself, with self-portrait illustrations, sketches, collage, sculpture and doodles. Here are my self-portraits down below - Julian Opie inspired. The outcome of this project is that i have to design a book cover, a Persona of me, with 'epilogue'. My finished design is the first image at the top, i may have added the drop shadow far too much on vertical 'Persona'. I do have massively passions on flowers and the colour blackcurrent (or plum, whichever the colour that basically looks the same).
