Painting in the Sunshine | Art Diary

Image
In July 16th, the hottest Saturday, I have been painting outside for the first time in years. With the weather like that, even that was about 30 degree Celsius, I thought I could do painting outside, having a natural light is better to see, especially when I used the metallic paints on this painting. I actually painted underneath the parasol and wore a hat of course, I do not like a sunburn, until later into the evening I burned on my right side. Because I forgot to move myself as the sun move, silly me! Anyway, the nicest time of the day was in the evening. Nice warm air, still better light to see the painting, I even had a glass of rosé next to me! It was bliss. Have a nice weekend. 🎨💜

Pickle the White Rabbit | Happy Easter | Pet Portrait | Illustration

It's Easter Sunday today, with good weather as well. This Easter, I have been painting my joint 3rd foster rabbit, Pickle. Back in May 2012, he was brought in to me from an animal hoarding house, he came with another rabbit. His breed, I assumed, is New Zealand, he was very nervous and he hide a lot when he was in the house, the shoe rack and top of the storage box underneath the stairs were his favourite spots. But when he was outside, in his own hutch with a large enclosed run, he was more relaxed. He also was curious and didn't scurry away whenever I approached him close, just to say hello. As shown from these two photos above. I gave him some time to get used to me and my family, to show him that people aren't that bad, he then found out that he really likes head patting! As well as he stays on the floor to relax in the house, instead of hiding away from us. In August 2012, he was adopted. From a shy, skittish rabbit to a very relaxed rabbit! Back to painting, with thi...

I'm going BIG | New Painting Project Idea | Illustration

Image
Hello hello hello. Just a little blog of my new ideas I like to chat about. 😁 As you can see the sketchpad that I had sketched, a sneak peek of my new ideas for painting! This one is big, like 2 times bigger than I usually paint. It's different but I think I'll be having fun. Hehehe. I will start doing this project possibly in May, after a few paintings I planned to do when I don't have a lot on my plate! But at the moment, I'm searching for smooth and thick papers to use for painting, once I have them, I'm good to go! Besides, I'd like to thank my work friend who inspired me to go big on painting. Thanks, Rina! 😆

Sparrow on the Dog Rose Twig | My Artwork on Products | Illustration

Hello! And a happy new year! Did you all have a nice start to the new year?  I actually missed Christmas, that festive vibes, all finished until the next 11 months. Anyway, about my 'delay' post that I have started a year ago, well here it is!  The reason is I have that one, a Christmas gift for my uncle, was a new idea of products that I want to include on here, you'll see when you read through. I believe this is going to be a long blog post. Hehe.  First thing first, I have made a video of my artwork! So snazzy, isn't it? Hehe An inspiration of watching sparrows flying around the feeders, a lot of them hiding behind all these leaves of the bushes I have in my garden, waiting a turn to perch on the feeders, it was like playing hide and seek when I was bird watching. Thinking about it, this has been the busiest time when I was working on this artwork. I actually started in late June or early July in 2020! First foster dog happened, returned to work after lockdown happen...
