Now i'm in my final year in university, that means the big Final Major Project, Degree Show and graduation. Anyway, this is the first project this year, it's simple two weeks, same thing as last year for 2nd year and final year putting together for this project, of course, it's an editorial, this time it's called The Wisdom of Crowds. I get that thoughts of will this article be a difficult for me to understand, will my illustration looks good, will i get some more concepts from last year? To my surprise, my lecturers came over to me and mentioned that i can do moving image in this editorial project if i want to (to remind you, they know my work and how good my moving images are and they loves it), so i went for it. When i read through the article, yet again, find it difficult to get some illustrate concepts from these words. However i picked some small sentences from simple words such as " being perforated by “black holes” " which i was thinking to use...

Creative Values | Professional Practise

So, the reason why I choose to study illustration… At first, after I completed school at the age of 16, straight to college, I studied art and design in BTEC First Diploma, skipped the Foundation course. Even though it was only lasted for a year, I couldn’t think that did I enjoyed this and these projects I have done if I move to next level of art and design…? However I have learned something new in this course, about the creative computer, which mean as graphic design. I then studied graphic design in BTEC Extended Diploma, included photography but was not fond with it later. Throughout 2 years in this course I have spend so much on computer doing some projects such as packaging designs, logos, leaflets, posters, creating website, and list go on and less on drawings and printings. It was just too much… So when I was on final year of graphic design course, I started to research on any other course that have more drawing involves and so does the printing, then I have found illustration...

Now that i'm in second year in this university, feel like i'm half-way through to graduate. So this is the editorial project, we were put in group with the 3rd year, as we are looking at how 3rd year do with the illustrations, i'll be in 3rd year next year, just getting some ideas.  We were given to read the editorial article called In Each Other's Shadow, i find it difficult to understand what was really going on and working out to make illustrate. So far, i sketched some ideas, mostly to combine a person and nature. I actually did three attempts to makes it consummate, the 3rd illustration works better. 1st attempt 2nd attempt 3rd attempt I can't see myself doing the editorial illustration as a job in the future, unless if there are any editorial/articles have the nature-related really. Looking forward for Christmas, because my family and i will be spending in a room together and have some christmassy fun, oh, and christmas dinner and some food. As i'm on christmas break, the first semester is finished, there are five modules, apart that one which i only did an essay.  Let's start with the first project i've done in these four modules. I have worked on large scale inspiration mood board.  This only take 2 weeks, after that i have been experiment the techniques to illustrate. Some practise from Digital Media sessions. Even i know how to use the Adobe Illustrator as well as Photoshop. Work i did in Life Drawing sessions. It was a lot of drawings, as well as some observational, and some experiments of using techniques. And the printmaking and photography (both are part of the Visual Studies module). These one project was part of two modules, as this is called Paper Play. The first ...
