I've Graduated!

Image
I have graduated yesterday! I did it! Bachelor of Arts Honour in Illustration with 2:1! Three years of hard work in university, now i've got a degree! Yay. I was quite nervous in the morning, thinking i have bit of stage fright, worrying i could trip over, might forgot what i was suppose to do? But it was all great! Done well. The ceremony was in the morning and it was about an hour long. Getting ready in the morning in my bedroom, hopped into my mum's car and drove to Park Campus, fetched my gown and a hat. Brushed myself up for the photograph, looking fine in this photo below here. Photo done, went outside, get some photos with my mum and little sister. Photos done, hopped into the shuttle bus, drove to Royal & Derngate where the graduation ceremony hold. Here's some photos of me walked onto the stage to handshake the Chancellor and received my degree certificate. The hood was a bit annoying, it won't stay in place... Once the ceremony w...

This is a really busy, tiring project, i have been given the live project brief before christmas break. A long list of competitions and short information of independent project. I have written down some thoughts for this project, it was three weeks worth of ideas.  I have thought of craft selling in public stall, window installation, only focus on nature or animal charity shop, Interflora competition, Cheltenham Illustration Awards competition, Deaffest competition, also some suggestion idea from my lecturer that i thought it was useful, which was having illustration of birds display in cafe, or having bird sculptures in band stand and tree, all in Abbey Park, as they have bird sanctuary. I ended up went for window installation, and found the charity shop in Northampton, which is Northampton. I did get a permission to have my sculptures display in their window shop. NN Contemporary Art Gallery | Illustration

I worked in art residence at NN Contemporary Art Gallery, in Project Space, in Northampton. I did it for five days, it was for the university project of work in progress, with the illustration course-mates. This gallery show was called Intermission.  The concept i worked on was fabric sculpture, the progress i did on day one was some wire skeletons for inside, in shape of hare. Second day was using some fabric and sewing to make some body parts. Third day was putting altogether and stuffing with cotton wool. Fourth day was continuing stitching altogether as well as stuffing.  This was on Day One was wire skeleton inside (and bit of fabric stitching), and Day Two was putting some fabric body parts together and stuffing with cotton wool. Had launch party on Day Two. 👌  (8th Sunday) On the last day in NN gallery.  We were meant to have each of our talk about our work in progress, unfortunately people haven't visited to listen our talk. ...

Sketches Of Abbey Park's Bird Sanctuary | Illustration

I went down to Abbey Park in Northampton, visited to the bird sanctuary, so that i can do some observational sketches of birds for my FMP. Good thing it was warm temperature in October, i wouldn't really need a coat and feel cold that my hands will be uncomfortably shaky cold.
