I've Graduated!

I have graduated yesterday! I did it! Bachelor of Arts Honour in Illustration with 2:1! Three years of hard work in university, now i've got a degree! Yay.

 I was quite nervous in the morning, thinking i have bit of stage fright, worrying i could trip over, might forgot what i was suppose to do? But it was all great! Done well. The ceremony was in the morning and it was about an hour long.

 Getting ready in the morning in my bedroom, hopped into my mum's car and drove to Park Campus, fetched my gown and a hat. Brushed myself up for the photograph, looking fine in this photo below here.

Photo done, went outside, get some photos with my mum and little sister.




Photos done, hopped into the shuttle bus, drove to Royal & Derngate where the graduation ceremony hold. Here's some photos of me walked onto the stage to handshake the Chancellor and received my degree certificate.

The hood was a bit annoying, it won't stay in place...


Once the ceremony was finish, us graduators left the theatre, i was waiting for my mum and sister outside the theatre, reunited, mum was quite weeping and she's proud of me, that's mother's love and proud.

Left Royal & Derngate, hopped onto the bus, back to the campus, get some another photos, with my degree this time. Plus, my mum always want to try on the graduation hat, there she go.


Returned the gown and hat and then went home. Later on the day, my younger brother got home from work, he had watched me on the stage in the theatre through live-stream. He didn't expected it'll be quick, i'm happy that he witnessed me received my degree. Then we celebrated with dinner in Harvester, my favourite restaurant.

The Monarch | Illustration

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. It was Spring, the Spy hummingbird flying around millions of butterflies resting on the oyamel fir trees (I just looked it up of what kind of tree because I can't remember what it was, hehe). When the sunshine on them, warmed their delicate wings, then started to fly. And when they fly, it was absolutely spectacular, all orange and flow through the trees. Bloom Wildly | Illustration

It's nearly the end of May, the weather for the last week of the month has been sun shining and over 22c of temperature, such lovely weather. So yesterday, I have been painting the dog rose flowers, that just blossomed nearly 2 weeks ago! Right now they're blooming quite wildly in my home garden and the front! This bush even grows over the tree, makes it so enchanting it's like in a magical summer garden. And with the wall, this can hang further that I can go underneath it for some shade. This one is new from the front as it hasn't grown there before, so it's the first time seeing this. And it's already climbing up the birch tree! It looks nice to look at through the window, where I work on some arts, plus good for some inspirations to illustrate! Whilst I was painting, I did another timelapse video on this.
