The final experiment/development outcome, the idea of animals peeping through the tree. My idea of the theme of Covert is about whats inside the tree and in forest, that animals lives there mystery way. Drawn with soft pastels and black ink on hand-wash cotton.

Impressed with my illustration of leaves. (Visualising Science Virus project) This is Visualising Science Virus project, it's basically a practise to see if your illustration style works well for some kind of science education and such.  So, as always, going for nature relate viruses, like tree disease, fruit, flower, etc. I have done some researches, a quite long time to look through. I came up with these lists, Dutch Elm disease ( Chalara Praxinea ) also in another name of Ash Dieback, AOD ( Acute Oak Decline ), Horse Chestnut Bleeding Canker, Horse Chestnut Leaf Miner ( Cameraria Ohridella ), Phytophtora Ramorum, Phytophtora Lateralis ( Chamaecyparis Lawsoniana) , Birch Leaf Miner ( Fenusa Pusilla ), CTV ( Citus Tristeza Virus) , Leaf Spot Grass Disease, Rust Grass Disease, Brome Mosaic Virus, Plum Pox Virus. However i have included the list of diseases and meant to search virus, silly me, it was actually difficult to search more plant viruses. So, while i was using...

Covert Development | Illustration

These are some experiment development for the Covert project. I did on roll of lining paper, cartridge paper (A2), cotton fabric and thick cardboard. The tree on roll of lining looks better as the textures on the trunk gives the look of real colours. But i am struggling to choose which material i could use for the project…
