Family House Plaque | Illustration

Image
"Welcome to me house." This is my family humour and creativity with anything that turns into something funny. My family have that old personalised house plaque from the previous resident, we moved into the house 16 years ago and they have left the plaque.  My parents didn't bother to take it off until my sister wants to do something with it, as it was a sad-looking and washed out. She brought it to me and asked me to bring it to life.  You can see the faded white print on it, seeing it that it was a digital print work, I can't remember what it looked like as it was 16 years ago, I was 11, even though I remember there were some bit of colours before washed away by 16 years of all weather conditions. But, still, I can't remember. As you can see the name of the previous resident, the Cameron. I went through some thought of what to do with the name, the plaque is made of either metal or clay as it's really heavy, can't be sure which. To think of removing the n...

" Violet. - I'm sure you'll grow into a woman just as lovely as those flower." | Illustration

"You Won't Be a Tool, but a Person Worthy of That Name" As I watched Violet Evergarden on Netflix, I really enjoyed it so much that I'm waiting for the 2nd season! I have to thank my sister for the recommendation. Violet Evergarden is about a girl who was a soldier tool for war, was for Gilbert Bougainvillea but he treated her as a human, raised her and even named her Violet. He named her that he wishes she'll grow up to be as beautiful as the flower. After the war, Violet became an Auto Memory Doll and searching the meaning of that last words Gilbert said to her before the collapse in the battlefield. It was a very interesting journey she had as well as quite emotional. With the scene of when Gilbert named her, episode 4, as the flower showed up and the quote, I was inspired that I had to paint the flower, that would show my interest of Violet Evergarden and thought it's perfect for my illustration. I have been using gouache paint and the thought of the black...

The Sunshine of Summer Sunset | Photography

Image
Getting a summer evening feeling. I was on the floor in the guest room after 9 last night, waiting for my sister who was having a bath as we were having a Friday night anime movie. Whilst I was waiting, on my Mac laptop with an issue of shutdown automatically for no reason, hey ho, and I stared through the window, mesmerised by the sun shined onto the green bushes and illuminated the bird feeder. With the house being so quiet, cool feeling on the floor level with summer temperature from the ceiling, gazing at the sunlight moving that I took out my bridge camera and took a few. I felt serene, nostalgic and got the summer evening kind of feeling, I like the sunset in summer the most as it's very beautiful scenery and you can see all these colour change. About the anime movie that my sister and I watched last night, A Whisker Away, it's on Netflix and it was really good and cute! I only like romantic and magical/spiritual kind of anime such as all of the Studio Ghibli movies, as i...

Seagull Reminded Me of the Seaside | Illustration

Dark cloudy and raining weather that has been for the past few weeks here, there's a little bit of sun shining through the grey cloud. Although it's been warm, that's the result of thunderstorms we had the past few days, even had a big one on Tuesday, I actually don't mind thunderstorm as it's always been interesting to watch since I was a child, along with my brother and sister. It's typical British summer weather. Back in May, I had that itching feeling of wanting to go to the beach with really nice summery weather that May had, with the lockdown and restrictions, my family and I had to respect the guideline rules in public. So to think about the seaside town and the beach, I started to paint seagulls. Because they sure do reminding of the seaside, they're always there, a beach bird as I labelled them. My family and I always go to the beach when we were on holiday.  The last time I went to the beach was 2 years ago in Cyprus, with my family. But that was n...
