Final Major Project Developments Part 2 | Illustration

Been really busy and stressful from the past few weeks, getting everything right and some ideas for my FMP.

So, here’s two photos of my 3D sculpture of fox, it’s an experimental work. I use the cotton fabric and paint on it from acrylics, gives some colours and hoping to gives some texture detail, for example, a fur texture. I will be using some birds, fox and hare, which from the poems I selected from John Clare’s.

An experimental of animation for FMP. Tried out with the digital, photoshop, just colours and the background, apart from the tree branches, it was drawn by hand and scanned. The trees are alright but the background of sky is off-putting, i would prefer use the wet media for the sky.


This is what will be like for FMP, though this is an experiment. I am happy with the birds flying, which i drew it each step of birds’ flying positions. But i feel like the atmosphere need to be moving as well, the trees and the sky.


Testing the background as the tree moved by the wind. Tried to get the fence lined up correctly, looked tilted up and down rather than just correctly straight.

Another experiment for GIF, trying out with colours and atmosphere. I used soft pastels, inks, acrylic paints and pencil. I use the fence off from the tree to be in other layer.

The Monarch | Illustration

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. It was Spring, the Spy hummingbird flying around millions of butterflies resting on the oyamel fir trees (I just looked it up of what kind of tree because I can't remember what it was, hehe). When the sunshine on them, warmed their delicate wings, then started to fly. And when they fly, it was absolutely spectacular, all orange and flow through the trees. Bloom Wildly | Illustration

It's nearly the end of May, the weather for the last week of the month has been sun shining and over 22c of temperature, such lovely weather. So yesterday, I have been painting the dog rose flowers, that just blossomed nearly 2 weeks ago! Right now they're blooming quite wildly in my home garden and the front! This bush even grows over the tree, makes it so enchanting it's like in a magical summer garden. And with the wall, this can hang further that I can go underneath it for some shade. This one is new from the front as it hasn't grown there before, so it's the first time seeing this. And it's already climbing up the birch tree! It looks nice to look at through the window, where I work on some arts, plus good for some inspirations to illustrate! Whilst I was painting, I did another timelapse video on this. Motion frame, Horse and Rabbit (my foster rabbit, Dust). Colour felt tip pens. - I worked on this for Life Drawing independent project in university (first year), I chose to work on animal motions, I like drawing animals and am interesting their movements.
