Tea Packaging Development Designs | Graphic Design


This project, we're learning to design packaging, so we're doing the tea designs. Before we starting to sketch some design ideas, we were set to experiment the tea taste, the traditional herbal kinds such as black, oolong, jasmine and that fascinating little flower bud opened in boil water, i can't remember but i believed it must be Dragon Flower tea. But honestly, i didn't enjoyed drinking these teas, i wasn't keen on it and i don't drink tea, nor coffee as well. 

After i did packaging research that inspired me of layout, designs and the latest products. Before I started to design the nets, i had a lot of thinking of the flavours i have to use to design the packaging, then something came to my head, fruit flavour teas. I love fruits, i drink fruit flavour drinks so i thought i could try fruit flavour tea. So i went to superstore and bought Strawberry and Forest Fruit teas. Finally, i enjoyed the taste of this flavour. Until then, i picked two flavours for two packaging designs. Which i choose are strawberry, blueberry, blackberry and elderflower, but I only use strawberry on its own and blueberry, blackberry and elderflower goes together.  I picked Pickwick brand for my tea packaging.

 Afterward, I did sketching the idea of tea packaging; I have done three sketching, five nets and picked two of five nets to use for my tea packagings.

I also did ready-made, observational drawing on plants and fruits. Then i edited over my drawings into digital illustrations.

The Monarch | Illustration

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. It was Spring, the Spy hummingbird flying around millions of butterflies resting on the oyamel fir trees (I just looked it up of what kind of tree because I can't remember what it was, hehe). When the sunshine on them, warmed their delicate wings, then started to fly. And when they fly, it was absolutely spectacular, all orange and flow through the trees. Bloom Wildly | Illustration

It's nearly the end of May, the weather for the last week of the month has been sun shining and over 22c of temperature, such lovely weather. So yesterday, I have been painting the dog rose flowers, that just blossomed nearly 2 weeks ago! Right now they're blooming quite wildly in my home garden and the front! This bush even grows over the tree, makes it so enchanting it's like in a magical summer garden. And with the wall, this can hang further that I can go underneath it for some shade. This one is new from the front as it hasn't grown there before, so it's the first time seeing this. And it's already climbing up the birch tree! It looks nice to look at through the window, where I work on some arts, plus good for some inspirations to illustrate! Whilst I was painting, I did another timelapse video on this.
