 Merry Christmas!

We're having a wet Christmas here, I like the frosty or misty on a Christmas Day, because that how I remember when I was a little girl, just right for British winter weather.

Over the last weekend, I have been painting this little cutie with some berries, that looks very Christmasy, imagine this as a Christmas card!

This artwork is called 'Long-tailed Tit Having Some Red Berries for Christmas', this berry is similar to what we humans have for our Christmas dinner, the cranberry sauce, although this is cherry from the cherry tree. I have found this twig with berries from outside by my workplace, using it for the reference and inspiration. Here's the photo reference of berried twig.

As I stared at this almost wilted twig, there were few small birds flew to perch and picking some berries, I was inspired for the Christmas painting.

The small bird I chose to have is white-headed Long-tailed Tit, they looks really cute and works well with the Christmas style. Fun fact, their nickname is 'snowball head' because of their pure white head, cute isn't it!








I have two option, one with snow and one without. 



Having the snow makes it more Christmas, of course.

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. Bloom Wildly | Illustration

It's nearly the end of May, the weather for the last week of the month has been sun shining and over 22c of temperature, such lovely weather. So yesterday, I have been painting the dog rose flowers, that just blossomed nearly 2 weeks ago! Right now they're blooming quite wildly in my home garden and the front! This bush even grows over the tree, makes it so enchanting it's like in a magical summer garden. And with the wall, this can hang further that I can go underneath it for some shade. This one is new from the front as it hasn't grown there before, so it's the first time seeing this. And it's already climbing up the birch tree! It looks nice to look at through the window, where I work on some arts, plus good for some inspirations to illustrate! Whilst I was painting, I did another timelapse video on this.
