This Flower Reminded Me Of... | Illustration

Hi all!

 The heatwave is still here in the U.K., although I got back from Cyprus few days ago, with my family and my brother's friend. I had an incredible holiday there, very enjoyable time, the beach, the lounger and pool that hotel we all stayed in have, were splendid. The temperature was hot, that we weren't used to it but doesn't really bothering us, because that's the point of going on holiday, just to bask in before going home.

 Anyway, I did the illustration of flower, I use the watercolour as I did with my pansies illustration, it's in Spring Bank Holiday blog. I've done this just a little over a month ago, I was inspired to illustrate it because they caught my eyes in my garden, how small and stand out they are in the garden, especially in this particular weather. This flower is called the California Poppy.

Although the weather wasn't that much of sunshine, yet it was warm. Even I have to edited these photos to brighten up. Here's the close-up of my California Poppy.


 And here's the actual poppy, in better lighting of sunshine!

When I looked at this bright, yellowy flower, it reminded me of my darling best friend, whom loves yellow flowers, such as sunflower.

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. It was Spring, the Spy hummingbird flying around millions of butterflies resting on the oyamel fir trees (I just looked it up of what kind of tree because I can't remember what it was, hehe). Bloom Wildly | Illustration

It's nearly the end of May, the weather for the last week of the month has been sun shining and over 22c of temperature, such lovely weather. So yesterday, I have been painting the dog rose flowers, that just blossomed nearly 2 weeks ago! Right now they're blooming quite wildly in my home garden and the front! This bush even grows over the tree, makes it so enchanting it's like in a magical summer garden. And with the wall, this can hang further that I can go underneath it for some shade. This one is new from the front as it hasn't grown there before, so it's the first time seeing this. And it's already climbing up the birch tree! It looks nice to look at through the window, where I work on some arts, plus good for some inspirations to illustrate! Whilst I was painting, I did another timelapse video on this.
