What I've Been Doing In Summer | 2011

I've finished my first year of Graphic Design, will be in second year after summer break. Also i will be having FMP (Final Major Project) in second year so i had so many thought of what i should do, even though i'd like to do the dogs things. 

So these are some images what i've been drawing during my summer break.



Saw this in my local town.







 




 

I had to stop drawing in mid August, as my two guinea pigs died unexpectedly, in a week apart. I was grieving for few weeks, i'm a little ok and i'm going back to college in few days.

These are my piggie boys, Russell and Dexter. Had them since they were 8 weeks old, passed away at the age of 3 years old. These two are the cheekiest boys, always made my family laughed, they made some noise to us like they're talking. Sweet boys.

The Monarch | Illustration

The Milkweed butterfly, also in another name of the Monarch butterfly, inspired me when I watched BBC's Spy in the Wild Series 2 in February. In episode 2 "The North", in this scene located the mountain in West Mexico, with the Spy Hummingbird capturing the place that's considered the world's most beautiful natural gathering, where the Monarch butterflies hibernated during the winter. It was Spring, the Spy hummingbird flying around millions of butterflies resting on the oyamel fir trees (I just looked it up of what kind of tree because I can't remember what it was, hehe). When the sunshine on them, warmed their delicate wings, then started to fly. And when they fly, it was absolutely spectacular, all orange and flow through the trees. I imagined myself in there, underneath them and watching them as they migrate to North. I felt calm and delight thinking about it, it was awe-inspiring. Bloom Wildly | Illustration

It's nearly the end of May, the weather for the last week of the month has been sun shining and over 22c of temperature, such lovely weather. So yesterday, I have been painting the dog rose flowers, that just blossomed nearly 2 weeks ago! Right now they're blooming quite wildly in my home garden and the front! This bush even grows over the tree, makes it so enchanting it's like in a magical summer garden. And with the wall, this can hang further that I can go underneath it for some shade. This one is new from the front as it hasn't grown there before, so it's the first time seeing this. And it's already climbing up the birch tree! It looks nice to look at through the window, where I work on some arts, plus good for some inspirations to illustrate! Whilst I was painting, I did another timelapse video on this.
