Pick Me Up: Graphics Arts Festival | 2011
We arrived in London on 17th
March. Firstly we went in Somerset House and founded Pick Me Up entrance. I was
very interested when I saw coloured arrows on the walls and giant arrows mobile
hanging from the ceiling. Then I saw the colourful in Graphics gallery that
were very eye-catching.
The first displays that interested me was Jules
Juliens’ works, I like all of his displays because it’s like very feminine to
me and looks interesting.
Then ‘Zara Wood aka Woody’ displays, its also very feminine and very simple drawing.
To Jessica Hische’s display, its very feminine I like the way flowers flow and its link to the letters. The colours are complementary.
Clara Terne’s display is vague and abstract. The
title is The Intangible. Its looks like she draw with music.
Qwenola Carrere’s displays are quite bold with primary colours and it’s like a children’s imagination.
Takeru Toyokura’s display is very strange and
interesting. Its looks like the children floating up in the green thing.
Annelie Carlstrom’s display is like for
fashion design, very achromatic, look like she used the mix media technique.
Sarah Arnett’s displays are very abstracts, Africa style (even she growing up in Africa as a child) and Botanical garden style.
Kate Moross’s displays are very soft, additive colourful and Doodle a-like.
The MVM ‘s displays are very dark abstract,
distinctive and large than life.
James Graham’s display is very simple and only one colour.
Revenge is Sweet’s displays are random, retro and very interesting, I like the “Love Me Or Die” because its had mirror that made me impressed.
Can't remember who did this graphic art work. |
