  Happy Mother's Day! Today's 14th of March, celebrating all mums in the U.K., I've spoiled my mum with a fancy gift box full of goodies, they're chocolate treats and a lovely gin, by the way, and she absolutely loves them as she plans to devour them tonight! For this Mother's Day illustration I have been working on owls, I selected the barn owl as inspired by the t.v show Inside The Zoo from BBC, that I've watched with my mum, there were two barn owl brothers with amusing personalities and my mum enjoyed watching them and thought they're cute!  To start with, I sketched the mother and three owlets on black paper, for the colours I originally use coloured pencils, the Zenacolor. The coloured pencils have backfired as they don't work well on this satin texture paper, not how I wanted to look, so I've decided to use gouache paints. Happy Friday! It's the last day of this month AND this season. More closing to the Spring, as well as my birthday in March.  This illustration is about some winter flowers, which links to this illustration of Winter Flowers , used these three same flowers and new addition. This becomes a Bouquet of Winter Flowers, as well as having a cute little bird with it, a blue tit. I thought of giving the ribbon a dark blue that indicates the colour of winter. Although it looks much nicer along with these flowers' colours. Hello all, This may not be an illustration-related, but I would like to share so many photos I took from last week because they look so magical! Odin, the foster Akita, was all fascinated with the snow, we think, on that day, it was his first time experiencing the snow. Also, we find it very cute when he was playing around on the snow and covered in snow. All these photos are in order of the timeline. Saturday 23rd January (2021) : Snowed for the first time this year, but a short and thin layer of snow. Sunday 24th January : Started to snow heavily in the afternoon, progressively thicker on the ground. Plus, some entrancing night photos ; Monday 25th January : A sunny day It is a lot of photos I have taken, but it makes the photos looks so interesting, as we don't get much snow in the middle of England.
